If you're one who frequents the deep water grounds like the Nantucket Shoals chasing after doormat sized Fluke and Flounder, the heavier, longer conventional models are perfect. With deep water comes faster moving waters and these rods will be able to handle the heavy cannon ball sinkers that are needed to hold down at the bottom.
