The RAP Systems Rod Assist Pipes are the ultimate solution to keep from scratching the rails on your boat. The Assist Pipes give you a great fulcrum point to give you the leverage and advantage during a fight. Available in multiple lengths and angles.
Top of the Pipes sits a 360°, swiveling, U-shaped seat for your rod to rest comfortably.
The Long Assist Pipes measure in at 25" length from bottom to reel seat and holds your rod at 15 inches above the rail (gunnel), while the Short Assist Pipes measure in at 23" length from bottom to reel seat, and holds your rod at 13" above the rail, the *new Tall Boy measures 30 inches & holds your rod 21 inches above the rail . Both long and short versions feature a rod butt style 1 1/2" diameter pipe and are made from stainless steel to ensure reliability and resist corrosion.
RAP Systems Rod Assist Pipes come in 3 variations, the 0° (straight), the 15° (bent), and the 30° (bent) models, and fit smoothly into the equivalent rod holders. The 15° and 30° Assist Pipe features gimbal notches on the bottom to lock into the gimbal bar at the bottom of the rod holder, ensuring the assist pipe will remain upright during use.
Also great for the angler with a bad back that needs a little assistance or kids giving them somewhere to rest the rod.
