Shimano engineers incorporated a substantial power increase in the butt section of Grappler Type J Medium Heavy (MH) to Extra-Extra Heavy (XXH) to enhance angler lifting power. All Medium Light (ML) to Medium Heavy (MH) models feature Shimano's innovative CI4+ reel seat to increase sensitivity by transmitting more feedback to the angler and boosting in-hand comfort. Type J Heavy (H) to Extra-Extra Heavy (XXH) models incorporate a V Hold front grip design to increase the ergonomic function of the rods when battling hard-fighting fish.
